Dudley Farm Historic State Park has now opened its gift shop (Commissary) and the plant sales area.
At this time however, the buildings at the park remain closed. CDC's recommendations for social distancing are still required.

We are having our annual Earth Day and Heritage Nursery plant sale at Dudley Farm Historic State Park.  We will be having tables on various topics such as:  Pollinators, why we need them, Invasive Exotic Plants, Building a Bee House, Zero Waste Gainesville, Love Our Springs, Growing a longleaf pine. Also GRU will have information on electric cars and Sweetwater Wetlands Park and more.

Our annual Heritage Nursery plans sale features heritage plants which have been grown for decades in the Dudley flower gardens, and many species of native plants.

We have 250 longleaf pine seedlings to give away (one per family) til they are gone. Please be ready to plant your seedling..

Discover an authentic working farm owned by the Dudleys from post Civil War to mid-1940s.  Follow a park staff or docent in period clothing as they talk about the homestead consisting of eighteen restored buildings, farm animals, gardens and local history.

Kids Day - Dirt and PlantsSaturday, May 11, 2019 10:00am - 02:00pm

Plant seeds and rain lilies to take home. Make a flower fan or a tissue flower. Join us at the farm on the second Saturday of the month.  Children and adults alike, ages 5 and up can join in the fun! There are hands on demonstrations, crafts, old fashioned games and even some education.  Learn about history, and a farming way of life.

Junior Ranger JamboreeSaturday, May 18, 2019 09:30am - 01:30pm

Come for a morning of Junior Ranger activities and fun! Participants will have the opportunity to:

- Complete 3 different "passport" activities
- Get sworn in as a Florida State Parks Junior Ranger
- Talk with staff, volunteers and rangers from several Florida State Parks
- Face painting available

Don't forget water and sunscreen. Please arrive in time to register between 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM. Afterwards, bring a picnic lunch or buy a hot dog and lemonade lunch. Enjoy the farm in the company of your new Junior Ranger friends!

National Public Lands DaySaturday, September 28, 2019 09:00am - 12:00pm

Dudley Farm Historic State Park will host a volunteer day on September 28, 2019. National Public Lands Day is the nations largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve America’s public lands.  Join us as we pull invasive plants and work in our historic gardens area.  Groups, families and individuals are welcome.  Please meet at the Visitors Center; bring clippers, bug spray, work gloves and water.  Dress appropriately and wear closed toe shoes.

Quilt Day & Heritage Nursery Plant SaleSaturday, October 05, 2019 09:30am - 02:30pm

Quilt Day. Quilt Day - Scrappy Quilts. 10 - 10:30 a speaker will talk about "Scraps - Love 'em & USE 'em. At 11 - 11:30 a speaker will talk about "Frugal Quilting, Use Every Scrap". By Quilters of Alachua County Day Guild. Many varieties of quilts will be exhibited. Also there will be various demonstrators and vendors including the Levy Co Quilt Museum.

Heritage Nursery Plant Sale - We will have heritage plants from the original Dudley gardens including varieties of gingers, and also many species of Florida native plants.
