  A Twilight Walk to the Past (cancelled). We will be doing this event in Oct. So stay tuned.

  A nighttime walk by lantern light through the life of a 1894 farm family of Alachua County, Florida. A glimpse of conversations, the work, the plans, hopes, and happenings during that time.

  "Take a walking tour/play in the year 1894. This 7 stop play will depict, through speech, dress and mannerisms, SHARECROPPERS, TRAVELERS and HORSE TRADERS.  Family and neighbors will be conducting business and visiting in the STORE. The farmhouse FRONT PORCH was an active place to socialize, and hear two men talk about the “bank panic”, other timely events, politics, etc.  In the PARENTS ROOM, the young, busy parents talk of family, business and their plans.  In the KITCHEN while visiting and preparing a meal, women enjoy a lively talk including how times are changing.  Each tour will last about 50 to 60 min.,  Mar 22 and Mar 23 with 7 starting times on each day."  Cost $20.00 per registrant, 12 and above.

  Join us and discover an authentic working farm owned by the Dudleys from post Civil War to mid-1940s. We are now a National Historic Landmark.  Follow a Park Ranger or docent in period clothing as they talk about the homestead consisting of eighteen restored buildings, farm animals, gardens and local history. 18730 W.
